Housing developer WeBuildHomes, the Langedijk local council and the Langedijk housing corporation today reached agreement on the construction of a total of 31 homes in Noord-Scharwoude. Construction will start in the autumn of 2020 and delivery is scheduled for a year later.
SUSTAINABLE AND LIFE-CYCLE PROOF
The 31 homes, 26 of which will be rent-controlled apartments across two buildings, while five will be owner-occupied homes, will be built in the location of the former ‘Overbrugging’ (bypass) in
Noord-Scharwoude. This project is a response to the enormous demand for life-cycle proof and sustainable homes in the municipality of Langedijk. The Langedijk housing corporation is responsible for the realisation of the apartments, while WeBuildHomes is responsible for the owner-occupied homes.
AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING
The draft zoning plan for the area will soon be made available for viewing and on 10 December an information evening will be organised to explain the draft zoning plan and the building plans of the Langedijk housing corporation and WeBuildHomes. The local council will discuss the plan in early 2020, after which construction can start in the autumn of 2021.
